Arabian Nights - a fabulous dinner theater in Orlando - has wanted a Vanner for their Gypsy act for years.  We thought it'd be great exposure for the breed so have sent them The Roadsweeper and Latcho's Banner (our two year old) on a long-term loan.  They're learning a great deal and having a good time meeting so many people and being pampered by the staff!  They've really impressed everyone with their good manners and calm dispositions as, during the show, there are circus riders leaping from horse to horse through flaming hoops, whirling colored spotlights and screaming audiences!  The show is such fun and, if you'd like to see it, let them know if you're a member of the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society as we've arranged for a discount price.

LYNN PALM FINALLY GETS HER VANNER!

Ever since she trained The Gypsy King back when he first arrived in America, world famous trainer Lynn Palm has wanted a Gypsy Vanner... and especially a Vanner with The Gypsy King bloodlines.

When this particular colt was born, we pulled him out as a stallion quality keeper and when Lynn saw him she knew she'd found her horse.

His name is GG King's Vanner.  He's by Latcho Drom out of Crown Darby (who is a daughter of The Gypsy King).  He's very dark seal brown and white (like his dam) which is Lynn's favorite color.

Wellington, FL - December, 2005

The Gypsy King made a special invitational appearance at
the National Horse Show  - and he was treated like royalty...

With several thousand spectators cheering him on and taking photos, The Gypsy King floated in a 'passage'-like trot for the entire 5-minute circuit of the International Arena.  "It was like leading a feather," said Dennis.

The World Discovers The Gypsy Vanner Horse with their debut North American appearances!




Sept. 1997 - The Cattle Baron's Ball

A private party A Special Moment The party is the single largest fund raiser for the American Cancer Society in North America. It was held at the Brinkman Ranch in Dallas Texas. The Gypsy Vanner Horses were invited to work their magic.  


June 1998 Equitana USA

The Gypsy Vanner Horse is unveiled at Equitana, USA!  Louisville KY was the scene for their official coming out party, and what a party it was.

Thirteen Gypsy Vanner Horses arrived on a Brookledge van to join 10 of America's finest corporations (Absorbine, Brookledge, EBY Trailers, Freightliner, Hamilton Products, Jammies-Toklat  Loddon Stalls, Pet Ag, Purina Mills and Wahl Clippers) in the celebration. The scene included a booth with two semi's, Gypsy caravans, carts and custom stalls all surrounded by exotic Gypsy music and special lights.

Every evening, an introduction was made in the Mane Event, where three Gypsy wagons entered to the official song of the Gypsy Vanner Horse, (The Travelin' Man).

It ended with El Gitano, (the Gypsy) dancing with his horse, El Chino, to the music of the Gypsy Kings. At this time America's first Gypsy Vanner Horse stallions, Cushti Bok and The Gypsy King were introduced.

 A little (10 second) video of Cushti Bok, the horse who started it all, with his trainer, Mr. Bob Giles, when the breed was introduced to America for the first time at Equitana, USA!
